How to create a task when a product is purchased

Purpose:

This feature allows you to create automated tasks in your ClubRight admin dashboard, triggered by product purchases. It’s perfect for monitoring stock levels or ensuring timely restocking.

For example, you can use this feature to notify your team whenever a customer purchases a product, like sweatbands for this example.

Feature Overview:

Automated task creation ensures your admin team stays informed about product sales without manual updates. By setting a trigger for specific product purchases, tasks can be created and assigned to specific admins or the team as a whole, improving efficiency and communication.


Usage:

Access Message Automation:

  1. From the admin dashboard, navigate to the Settings menu.

  2. Scroll down and select Message Automation from the dropdown list.


Set Up the Automation:

  1. Click the green Add New Message button in the top right-hand corner.

  2. Enter a Description for the automation. For this example, named Task - Sweatbands - Product Sale.


Configure the Task Details:

  1. Click the Add and Edit button.

  2. Enable the switch next to Create a new task?

  3. Fill out the task details:

    • In the What needs to be done? section, type a task description, e.g., Product Sale - Sweat bands.

    • Use the By Whom? dropdown to assign the task to a specific admin or select Anyone.

    • Set the How many days to complete? field if needed.


Set the Trigger for the Task:

  1. On the right-hand side, configure the Trigger Settings:

    • Under When to send it, select Product purchased from the dropdown menu.

  2. Configure the Rules:

    • In the Product dropdown, select the applicable product. For this example, choose Sweatbands.


Save Your Changes:

Click the Save Changes button in the top right-hand corner.


How It Works:

Whenever the selected product (e.g., Sweatbands) is purchased, the automation rule will trigger, creating a task in the admin dashboard. This task will notify the assigned admin, ensuring prompt action.
