Scheduling messages to send later

How to schedule a group or individual message to send automatically at a future date and time.

Scheduling lets you set a message to send automatically at a future date and time, so you can plan communications in advance without logging in when it is time to send. It works for both individual messages and group messages, and members cannot tell a message was scheduled. It looks just like one sent in real time.

Note: Scheduling is part of a specific ClubRight package and may not be available on your plan. If you cannot see the scheduling option, reply here asking to talk to a member of the Customer Success team to check what your package includes.

Why schedule a message

  • Send without being online: set time-sensitive messages to go out at the right moment, even when you are not logged in.

  • Plan in advance: prepare campaigns, updates, and announcements ahead of time.

  • Time it well: deliver reminders and follow-ups at exactly the moment they land best.

How to schedule a message

You schedule a message as part of sending it, so first compose your message as normal. For an individual message, see Sending a message to an individual. For a group message, see Sending a group or bulk message.

When you reach the point of sending:

  1. Choose to schedule for later rather than sending immediately.

  2. Pick the date you want the message to send from the calendar.

  3. Choose the time from the time picker.

  4. Confirm. Your message will now send automatically to the selected recipients at the date and time you chose.

Note: If you choose a time during restricted early-morning or late-night hours, you will see an error. These anti-social hours are blocked to protect your members' experience. Choose a time outside those hours instead.

What members see

  • Email: the message arrives in their inbox like any other email.

  • App notification: it appears as a push notification in the ClubRight Member App, if they have notifications enabled.

Either way, members cannot tell the message was scheduled. It looks exactly like a message sent in real time.
