Selling your Club / Changing Ownership

How to ensure your sale or change of ownership goes smoothly

Updated over a week ago

We are here to work with you when it comes to selling your club, or passing on ownership to someone else or another business entity! It's important that you do communicate with us and follow the steps below to ensure everything goes smoothly. It's not as difficult as you may think, and following the steps below will ensure a stress-free Clubright transition to someone else with minimal, if any, disruption!

In Advance of your Sale Completion:

Let us know via our help service (Orange circle or email help@clubright.co.uk) that you are intending to sell or pass on ownership of your business, and the proposed transfer date. You may also wish to provide us with the new owner or new entity details, and provide us with authorisation to talk about your Clubright system with the new owners in advance.

On or Nearing a Definite Sale Completion:

1 - Contact your Payment Providers to ensure that any funds being collected from your members are paid post-completion to the new owners or entity moving forward:

IMPORTANT - Clubright are not able to change the bank accounts directly, or broker this change on your behalf, and it is your responsibility as the outgoing owner to make contact directly with each payment provider as above.

2 - Contact Us - please provide us with the new owners contact details, including full name, business name, telephone number and email address. We will make contact directly to welcome them to Clubright, and meet any training needs that they may have.

We will also send an update payment link by email to the new owners so that they can pay the Clubright Licence fees moving forwards once we have their contact email.

If you have any questions relating to your business sale or change of ownership, we're here to help this go smoothly! Please reach out to us via the help centre withing Clubright (Orange Circle) or by email to help@clubright.co.uk
