Using Browser Check-In

Let members check in with a PIN on any tablet or computer, with no extra hardware needed.

Browser Check-In lets members check in by entering a PIN on any tablet or computer, with no extra hardware needed. It is a simple way to record attendance without staff having to check everyone in at the front desk.

What Browser Check-In does

Each time a member enters their PIN, ClubRight will:

  • Check that they are active and paid up to date

  • Record their attendance at the club

  • Check them in to any activity they are booked on, from up to 30 minutes before it starts

  • Greet them with a welcome message

  • Flag if there is an issue with their membership that needs attention

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Your Club > Apps & Widgets.

  2. Find Browser Check-In and click Open.

  3. This opens the check-in screen. Use it on the tablet or touchscreen computer you want members to check in on, for example a device on a stand near your entrance.

Turn the device on at the start of the day and members can check themselves in as they arrive.

The member's PIN

A member's PIN is their membership number. You can see this on their profile, and you can change it if you want to give them something more memorable: open the member's profile, click the edit (pencil) icon, and change the Membership No. field, then click Save Changes.

šŸ’” Note: Members can also find their membership number in their member account and in the member app, so they have it to hand when they check in.

What hardware do I need?

Browser Check-In runs in a web browser, so it works on a standard tablet or touchscreen computer. No special hardware is required. A tablet on a stand near your entrance works well.
