Setting up your promotional banner

Promote a deal with a timed banner on your website, and send visitors straight to the offer.

This article is about your ClubRight Website, your public site for attracting new members.

The promotional banner is a thin bar that appears above your website header to promote a deal, for example a seasonal offer or a limited-time discount. You can set when it shows and where it sends visitors who click it. This article explains how to set one up.

How to set up a promo banner

  1. Go to Settings > Website and open the Promo banner tab.

  2. Type your Headline, the deal you want to promote (max 60 characters, so keep it punchy).

  3. Type the Link text, the wording on the clickable part of the banner, for example "Claim now".

  4. Choose Where it goes (see the options below) and any Reference it needs.

  5. Optionally choose a Promo code to auto-apply when visitors click.

  6. Set a Start and End date and time. The banner only shows during that window.

  7. Turn on Show this banner on my site, then click Save changes.

šŸ’” The banner stays hidden until you switch it on. If you have set one up but it shows a Hidden label, the toggle is off and nobody can see it. Flip Show this banner on my site to make it live.

Where the banner sends visitors

The Where it goes dropdown sets what happens when a visitor clicks the banner:

  • MembershipPlan: takes them to a specific plan. Pick which plan in the Reference dropdown.

  • Activity: takes them to a specific activity. Pick which one in Reference.

  • SectionAnchor: jumps to a section of your homepage. Pick the section in Reference (Memberships, Classes, About, Contact, or FAQ).

  • EnquiryForm: opens your enquiry form.

Only valid memberships and activities can be linked, so you can only point the banner at something that is set up and available.

Adding a promo code

The Promo code dropdown lets you auto-apply a discount code when a visitor clicks the banner, so they do not have to type it. Codes are pulled from your membership plans, and only valid codes are selectable. Choose (none) if you do not want a code applied.

šŸ’” Promoting a coded offer: Plans that require a promo code are hidden from your homepage by design, so the promo banner is the way to point visitors at a coded deal. Pair a MembershipPlan link with the matching Promo code so the offer is applied automatically.

Letting visitors close it

Tick Let visitors close the banner so a visitor can dismiss it. Once they do, it stays hidden for them for 30 days, so they are not nagged by the same banner on every visit.

For how the banner fits into the rest of your site, see Setting up your ClubRight Website.
