Creating a ParQ

How to create a ParQ using ClubRight 😊

Updated over 8 months ago

Creating your own dedicated ParQ is really simple to do in ClubRight, and is a feature that is available to use across all of our products.

It's important that you create a ParQ that is short and to the point, yet covers everything that you may need to know about your members. We understand that every business is different, so we've made sure that you can customise your questions to suit the needs of your club.Β

If you're a bit stuck on which questions to include, we've added some examples at the bottom of this article to help you out 😊

LESS IS MORE - Good Practice Advice on ParQ Set UPs

Or use these style of questions to make it simple but do not create more than 5 as this can look off putting when a customer is joining online.

1) Do you know of any physical reason why you could not safely train at (Insert Club Name) ? If yes, please detail here.

2) Are you taking any medication that (Insert Club Name) need to be made aware of? If yes, please detail here.

3) Are you pregnant or have you had a recent pregnancy?

4) Have you exercised using gym equipment before?

5) Is there anything else that (Insert Club Name) should be aware of about you or your medical history / background?

So how do you set it up?

Step 1

Firstly, go to the Settings Menu and click ParQ Setup.

Step 2

You can now create your own questions!

A good ParQ will be made up of closed questions, with Yes or No answers. The benefit of this is that your member can complete their ParQ quickly and get back to their joining process.

However, we understand that sometimes more detail is needed - which is why we have added a section that allows you to ask for further detail on certain questions. The details (along with their other answers) will be recorded in the member's profile within ClubRight so that you can refer back to them at any time πŸ‘

Member View of ParQ When Joining Online

When a member joins online the ParQ will be part of their online joining process.

After the Member has chosen the Membership they want to purchase, the ParQ questions will appear for them to complete. After completing the ParQ, they will be taken to the final payment screen.

If you have asked for more information when a member selects a certain answer to a specific question, it will look like the image below.

Members Profile View within ClubRight Admin

You are able to view a member's ParQ at any time by going onto their profile and clicking the ParQ tab.

If a Member is joining in your club, you can add their ParQ and ask them to complete it there and then.

Each time a new member joins your club and completes a ParQ, a reminder will appear in the Task List on the dashboard to ensure that you are reviewing the members' ParQ as a precaution.

And there you have it! We hope that this feature will help your business to keep everything in one place πŸ‘

Useful Tips βœ…

It's easy to get carried away with adding questions to your ParQ, so it's important to keep the list as succinct as possible. Ask short and simple questions that allow you to identify members that may need extra help or attention, rather than creating a long scary list that can make the new member feel like they're being interrogated!

Some Suggested ParQ Questions

We have a few suggestions to start the ball rolling to help you create your own ParQ.

  • Have you ever suffered a heart attack?

  • Have you ever suffered a stroke?

  • Are you pregnant?

  • Do you smoke?

  • Do you suffer with Blood pressure issues?
