Our Cyber Essentials certification

ClubRight holds the Cyber Essentials certification. What it means and what it covers for your club's data security.

ClubRight is Cyber Essentials certified. Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed certification scheme that confirms a business meets a baseline of cybersecurity controls to protect customer data and systems against common online threats.

What this means for your club

Holding the Cyber Essentials certification confirms that ClubRight:

  • Has the security controls in place to protect against common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, and unauthorised access

  • Meets a baseline of cybersecurity standards expected of suppliers handling business and customer data

  • Has been independently assessed against the National Cyber Security Centre's requirements

For clubs working with corporate or local-authority memberships, our certification can support your own procurement and data-handling requirements.

What Cyber Essentials covers

The certification verifies controls across five key areas:

  • Firewalls, to secure our network boundaries

  • Secure configuration of our systems and software

  • User access control, so only authorised people can reach customer data

  • Malware protection, to defend against malicious software

  • Security update management, keeping systems patched and current
