The till is where you sell products, take payments, and apply discounts in club. This guide covers starting a sale, building an order, taking payment by each method, applying a discount, and completing the sale.
Opening the till
Open the Till from the Operate section of the main menu on the left. You can also reach it from a member's profile by clicking Sell, which opens the till with that member already attached.
The till shows who is operating it next to Operating as at the top. The opening screen lets you resume an active sale or start a new one.
Starting a sale
To start a new sale, choose who it is for:
For a member: use Find a member and select them, or start from their profile with Sell.
For a non-member: choose Guest sale (no member). You can still attach a member later using the Search members box at the top of the order.
If there are unfinished sales, you can pick one up again from Resume an active sale.
Building the order
In the Products panel, tap a category (such as Drinks or Food) or a product tile to add it to the order. Products that are out of stock show an OOS badge.
The Order panel on the right lists what you have added. Use the plus and minus buttons to change the quantity, or the cross to remove a line.
When the order is complete, click Take payment.
To add more products after moving to the payment step, click Add more items at the top to return to the products on the same sale.
Taking payment
At the How are they paying? step, choose a payment method:
Cash and Cheque record the payment and close the transaction.
PDQ sends the transaction to your ClubRight Pay Card terminal to complete, if you have one connected.
Card charges a card stored on the member's profile. If no card is stored, a Card Payment window appears so you can send the member a secure payment link (Send via Email or Send via SMS, using the details on their profile) or show a QR code they can scan to complete the checkout themselves.
ePoints redeems the member's ePoints balance against the sale.
Discount applies a comp or write-off, covered in the next section.
To take payment across more than one method, click Split this payment. The Payments list shows what has been collected and the Remaining balance updates as you go.
Applying a discount
A discount is applied at the payment step, as one of the options alongside the payment methods.
Click Discount (labelled "Comp / write-off").
In the Apply discount window, choose a Discount Type: £ Fixed amount to take a set amount off, or % Percent to take a percentage off.
Enter the value using the keypad. The window shows a live summary, for example "Applying £2.00 off the order", so you can check it before confirming.
Click Apply discount.
The discount is taken off the order and the remaining balance updates. You can then take payment for the rest of the balance by another method.
💡 Tip: To discount the whole order (a complimentary item or a write-off), apply a discount equal to the order total. The balance drops to zero and you can complete the sale without taking a payment.
Completing the sale
Once the balance is covered, whether by a payment, a discount, or both, the sale shows as Fully paid. Click Complete Sale, confirm at the Ready? prompt, then choose to Email receipt or finish with No receipt.
Using the full-screen till
As well as the till inside ClubRight, there is a full-screen till designed for touchscreen monitors, which opens in its own browser tab. It is a good choice for a dedicated point of sale at reception, where you want a clean, full-screen view for selling products, taking payments, and managing walk-ins.
To open it, go to Settings, then Your Club, then Apps & Widgets. Under Tools for your front desk, find Full-screen Till and click Open. It opens in a separate tab, so you can keep the rest of ClubRight open alongside it.
Other things you can do at the till
Void a sale
To cancel a sale entirely, click Void in the order header. This clears the whole order without taking payment. Use this when a sale has been started by mistake or the member changes their mind before paying.
Switch to a different till operator
The till shows who is currently operating it next to Operating as at the top. To change to a different staff member, click Swap operator, then in the Select operator window choose the staff member operating the till for this sale. This keeps each sale recorded against the right person.
