Your app goes into the App Store under your business name, so it needs your own Apple developer account. This is step 2 of setting up your own branded app.
Go to Settings > Your Club > Branded app > Set up your Apple account. These steps are for an Apple account set up as an organisation. If yours is set up as an individual, change it on Your business first.
Before you start
Have these ready:
An Apple Account with two-factor authentication turned on. The one you use for your iPhone is fine.
Your D-U-N-S number (see Your business).
An email address on your own website's domain, like you@yourgym.co.uk. Apple won't accept a Gmail or Hotmail address for a business.
A proper website on that same domain. A Facebook page won't do.
A bank card to pay Apple's fee for the Apple Developer Program. You'll find the details under What it costs you on the Branded app page.
1. Join the Apple Developer Program
If you're already a member, skip to step 2.
Go to developer.apple.com/programs/enroll and sign in with your Apple Account.
When Apple asks, choose to enrol as an organisation, not as an individual.
Enter your business details exactly as you gave them to Dun & Bradstreet.
Apple checks your business. This can take a few days, and they may phone you, so keep an eye on your email.
When Apple emails you, follow the link, agree to the terms and pay.
You can also enrol in the Apple Developer app on an iPhone: open the Account tab, sign in and tap Enroll Now.
2. Invite us in
This gives our team access to build and publish the app for you. You stay the owner, and you can remove us at any time.
Sign in to App Store Connect with the same Apple Account.
Click Users and Access.
Under People, click the + button at the top left.
Enter First name ClubRight, Last name Apps and Email brandedapps@clubright.co.uk.
Under the role, tick Admin.
Click Next, then Invite.
3. Turn on API access
This lets us send your app to Apple automatically. Only the person who joined the program can do it.
Still in Users and Access, click Integrations.
Click Request Access.
Tick the box to agree, then click Submit.
There's nothing to send us from this step. Once Apple turns it on, we set up the rest from our side.
4. Check your agreements
At the top of App Store Connect, click Business, then the Agreements tab.
If anything shows as New or Expired, open it and accept it.
Apple updates its terms from time to time, and we'll let you know if a new one needs accepting.
5. Tell us you're done
Go to developer.apple.com/account and click Membership details.
Copy your Team ID (10 letters and numbers) into the Team ID box in ClubRight.
Tick I've invited brandedapps@clubright.co.uk as an Admin and requested API access.
Click Save and go back.
Next, set up your Google account.
