This step covers what your members will see on their phone and in the stores. It's step 4 of setting up your own branded app.
Go to Settings > Your Club > Branded app > Your app.
App name
Your app name can be up to 30 characters, including spaces. It has to be different from every other app in the App Store and Google Play, so we'll check it for you.
đĄ Tip: If your name is common, adding your town or area usually makes it unique, for example "Studio Fitness" could become "Studio Fitness Anytown".
Icon and colours
App icon: a square PNG or JPG, at least 1024 Ă 1024 pixels. Use square corners, because the phone rounds them for you.
Main colour: shows behind the menus and buttons.
Text colour: used for words on top of the main colour. Check they're easy to read together.
The preview on the page shows a rough idea of how it will look. We'll show you the real thing before it goes in the stores.
What the stores say about it
One-line description: up to 80 characters.
Full description: up to 4,000 characters. Tell people what they can do in the app, like booking classes, checking the timetable and seeing their membership. We'll tidy it up with you if needed.
Search words: up to 100 characters, separated by commas. These are words people might type into the App Store to find you.
Links the stores ask for
Where members can get help: usually your website's contact page.
Your privacy policy: a web page, not a PDF. We'll check it covers what Apple and Google need and tell you if anything's missing.
Apple and Google need your privacy policy to say what the app collects and how a member deletes their account. Open Suggested privacy wording for your app on this step for wording you can add to your policy as it is, or change to suit. Check it with whoever looks after your legal paperwork.
Check and send
When you're done, click Save and go back, then open Check and send. It shows everything you've entered and ticks off each step. Once every step has a tick, send it to us and we'll start building. You can see what happens next in Getting your own branded app.
