Promo codes let you create membership plans that are only visible when a member enters a valid code. This is useful for time-limited promotions, exclusive member offers, or hidden plans you want to share selectively without making them publicly available.
Note: Promo codes for membership plans are part of a specific ClubRight package and may not be available on your plan. If you cannot see the Promo Code field, reply here asking to talk to a member of the Customer Success team to check what your package includes.
How to set up a promo code on a membership plan
Click the burger menu in the top left-hand corner and go to Settings.
Under Your Offerings, click Membership Plans.
Click the three dots on the plan card and select Edit, or create a new plan using New Plan.
In the left-hand menu, click Availability.
Find the Promo Code field and enter the code you want members to use, for example SUMMER25.
Click Save Changes.
Once saved, the plan will be hidden from your Member Area. It will only appear when a member enters the promo code during sign-up.
How it works for members
When a member visits your club's registration or membership page, they will see a Promo Code field. Once they enter a valid code and click Apply, the promotional plan becomes visible and they can purchase it as normal.
You can share the promo code alongside your club's registration link, for example in a marketing email, on social media, or at an event.
Example
A club runs a new year promotion offering three months at a discounted rate. They create a membership plan called "New Year Offer" with the promo code NEWYEAR and share it in their January email campaign. Only members who receive the email and enter the code can see and purchase the plan. Once the promotion ends, the club removes the promo code from the plan and it reverts to a hidden draft.
