Ticket purchasing lets a member book more than one space on an activity in a single booking, for example reserving places for friends or family alongside their own. This is useful for activities where people often come as a group, rather than one booking per person. This article explains how to turn ticket purchasing on for an activity.
How to turn on ticket purchasing
Go to Settings, then under Your Offerings select Activities.
Open the activity you want to change, or set up a new one.
Go to the How is it booked? section.
Under Ticket purchasing, choose Allow Tickets. The alternative, Single Booking, limits each person to one booking.
Save your changes.
The two options explained
Single Booking: one booking per person. Each member can reserve a single space on the activity.
Allow Tickets: members can purchase multiple tickets, so one member can book several spaces at once.
How members use it
When ticket purchasing is set to Allow Tickets, a member books the activity as normal and chooses how many spaces they want. Each space they book uses one of their available credits and takes one place on the activity, so booking several spaces uses several credits and fills several places in the diary. They can enter a name for each space, so you know who is attending.
Note: Each ticket takes a space on the activity, so a single member booking multiple tickets uses up that many places in the class capacity. Bear this in mind when setting how many spaces the activity has.
