Sending messages to the Welcome Screen at check-in

What the Welcome Screen channel does in ClubRight, and how to use it to share messages with members as they check in.

The Welcome Screen is a delivery channel in ClubRight that displays your message on the club's check-in screen when a recipient arrives. Unlike email, SMS, or push notifications, which reach members wherever they are, the Welcome Screen is an in-club channel: members see it at the moment they check in.

When to use the Welcome Screen

The Welcome Screen is well suited to:

  • In-club announcements (a class moved studio, a piece of equipment back in action)

  • Facility updates (the sauna is closed today, the changing room is under refurbishment)

  • Same-day event awareness for members who are about to come in

  • General greetings, seasonal messages, or in-club promotions

It is less suited to anything urgent that members need to know before they arrive, such as a last-minute class cancellation. For those, push notifications, SMS, or smart notifications are a better fit.

How to send a Welcome Screen message

Welcome Screen is available as a channel in any ClubRight message composer:

  • To send to many members at once, use the Group Messages wizard and choose Welcome Screen as the delivery channel. See Sending a group or bulk message for the full flow.

  • To send to one member, open their profile and use the Message option, picking Welcome screen as the channel. See Sending a message to an individual for the full flow.

Helpful tip: Keep Welcome Screen messages short and visually clear. Members will glance at the screen rather than read carefully, so a single sentence with one specific call to action is more effective than a long block of text.
