The Revenue Forecast report shows projected revenue for your memberships. In its Monthly Breakdown, Already Paid shows how much of this month's scheduled membership payments are already covered by what members have paid. It isn't the money received this month. This article explains what the figures mean, what's included, and why they won't always match your other reports or your bank.
Where do I find the Revenue Forecast?
Open the burger menu (top left) and go to Tools > Payments.
In the sidebar, under Reports, click Revenue Forecast.
What does Already Paid mean?
Already Paid is how much of this month's scheduled membership payments are already covered by what the member has paid. It isn't "money received this month".
ClubRight takes everything paid on the membership since it started and ticks off the scheduled payments, oldest first. Whatever is ticked off for this month, up to today, shows as Already Paid. This means:
If a member still owes for last month, a payment this month clears last month first. This month can then show as not paid.
Credit or an overpayment from earlier months can mark this month as paid, with no new money coming in.
Direct Debits that have been sent to the bank but haven't cleared yet already count as paid.
Future months show "-".
What's included?
Every payment recorded against the membership is included:
Direct Debit collections, through ClubRight Pay and GoCardless.
Saved card payments.
Imported balances.
Payments taken at the till against the membership, by cash, card machine, card or cheque.
Only memberships that are Active today are included.
What's left out?
Failed and refunded payments.
Standing orders, unless a member of staff records the payment at the till. ClubRight never records standing order payments by itself.
Frozen memberships, DFC and Harlands memberships, and memberships that have been cancelled since (once they've gone inactive overnight). What these memberships paid this month is left out too.
Credit packs, products and other till sales.
How is it different from Revenue Summary?
Revenue Summary shows money actually taken in the dates you pick, across all memberships, including cancelled ones. It's made up of:
Recurring: successful membership payments, such as Direct Debits.
Till sales: cash, card machine, card online, card in person and cheque.
A membership payment taken at the till shows under how it was paid, not under Recurring, so nothing is counted twice.
Why don't these figures match what reached my bank?
Neither report is meant to match your bank statement. This is because:
Both show full amounts, before any payment provider fees.
Both are dated by the payment date in ClubRight, not the date the money lands in your bank.
Revenue Summary includes cash, cheque and card machine money that never goes through ClubRight.
đĄ Tip: To compare with your bank statement, use Payments > Balance & Activity, which reads the actual payouts from each payment provider.
