When sending marketing emails to members in ClubRight, you will be prompted to accept ClubRight's Marketing Email Agreement on your first send. This is a one-time agreement that confirms you understand the rules for marketing emails and the consent requirements that apply. This article explains what the agreement is, when you will see the prompt, and how to accept it.
⚠️ Important: the rules for sending marketing emails are taken seriously by email service providers worldwide. Misuse of marketing email, or failing to respect consent and opt-in/opt-out rules under GDPR, can result in your email service being suspended or removed by the email service providers. The Marketing Email Agreement is in place to protect your club's ability to keep emailing members reliably.
When you will see the prompt
The first time you try to send a marketing email from your ClubRight account, a Marketing Email Agreement Required pop-up will appear before you can compose the message.
A marketing email is one sent under a marketing consent type (such as Newsletter), not a Club Communication. See Sending a group or bulk message for more on consent types.
If you are a Club Owner-level account holder
When the Marketing Email Agreement Required pop-up appears, click Review and Accept Terms
Read through the terms in full
Click Accept Terms
You can then continue composing and sending your email.
If you are not a Club Owner-level account holder
Manager, Staff, and Trainer-level accounts cannot accept the Marketing Email Agreement on behalf of your club. If you see the prompt, you will need someone with Club Owner access to log in and accept the terms before any marketing emails can be sent from your club's account.
✅ One-time action: accepting the Marketing Email Agreement is a one-time action for your club. Once a Club Owner has accepted the terms, you will not be prompted again on subsequent marketing email sends.
