How to Change a Direct Debit Payment Date for your members

How to change when a customers Direct Debit is collected

This article is for both Clubright Pay and Gocardless paying members.

Note - If you would like to change a direct debit payment for a Harlands or DFC-paying member then please contact those organisations to do so.

The process for changing a Direct Debit date is in two steps; firstly, we are going to cancel the member's current plan, and then we are going to add the same plan, but with a revised payment date.

Step 1

Locate and cancel the current plan:

  • Locate the member you wish to change the payment date on

  • Click the Memberships Tab

  • Select Edit on the Membership Plan you wish to adjust

  • Select Options in the Membership Plan tabs

  • Select Cancel and you will be cancelling now, rather than a a date in the future

IMPORTANT - if the next Direct Debit is less than 4-working days away, you cannot carry out this process now. Please wait until the impending Direct Debit has cleared!

Step 2:

Add the same plan again to the member, but with the new payment dates:

  • Select Add Membership

  • Locate the same plan in the list of available plans

  • Ensure the collection day is set to immediate

  • Select the Earliest Payment Date to be the new date of your choice

  • Ensure everything else is set-up as you require

  • Click "Add"

  • Ensure the new subscription is set-up correctly, and depending on when the first payment is due, you may be prompted on how you wish to take the next payment, either via the till, or as a one-off Direct Debit - make your selection accordingly

Important - Please ensure the Earliest Payment date is a minimum of 4-working days away!
