Setting up ClubRight Pay Card

How to set up ClubRight Pay Card from your ClubRight account, including business type, agreement, bank details, and sales info.

This article walks through the steps to set up ClubRight Pay Card from within your ClubRight account. The whole process takes a few minutes once you have your business and bank details to hand. After setup, your account is reviewed for approval, which is typically completed within 24 to 72 hours.

Before you start

Have the following ready before starting setup:

  • Your business type (Limited company, sole trader, registered charity, or non-profit unincorporated association)

  • Your business address and registration details

  • A description of your services

  • The bank account details where you want your card payouts to be sent (sort code and account number)

  • An estimate of your average monthly turnover and average single transaction value

Step 1: Open the ClubRight Pay Card setup

  1. From the left-hand menu, go to Settings

  2. Open Integrations

  3. Find the ClubRight Pay Card tile and click the green Begin Set Up button

Step 2: Select your business type

Choose the option that best describes your organisation:

  • Registered company: select this if you are a Limited company, CIC, registered Charity, or company Limited by Guarantee

  • Individual / sole trader: select this if you are a sole trader

  • Non-profit: select this if you are a non-profit sports club or similar organisation that is not a registered company. You will be identified as an Unincorporated association.

Step 3: Enter your business information

  1. Choose the industry closest to your business

  2. Use the Service Description field to add context about what your business does. You can free-type detailed information here to ensure accuracy.

  3. Click Next once you have reviewed your entries

Step 4: Review and accept the service agreement

  1. Read through the Service Agreement carefully

  2. Tick the I have read and agree box

  3. Click Next to continue

Step 5: Enter your bank account information

  1. Enter your account number and sort code

  2. Double-check the details to ensure they are correct

  3. Click Submit to continue

Step 6: Provide your sales information

In the final step, you will need to provide:

  • Customer base: if your customer base is entirely in the UK, set Domestic to 100% and leave EEA and ROW (Rest of World) at 0%. Adjust the percentages to match your actual customer geography.

  • Average monthly turnover: the typical monthly revenue you expect to process through ClubRight Pay Card

  • Average single transaction value: the typical amount of an individual transaction

  • Fulfilment time: select Instant, since memberships, classes, and credits are available to members immediately

Review the information and click Submit to finish, or use Back to amend any details before submitting.

Approval and transaction limits

Note: during the setup and approval process, there is a temporary £2,500 transaction limit in place. This is removed once your account is approved.

Approval typically takes 48 to 72 hours, though we aim to process applications within 24 hours (same day) if all required information has been submitted correctly. If additional information is needed, the approval timeline may vary depending on how quickly you respond.
