If you currently use Stripe for card payments, you can migrate your stored card details to ClubRight Pay Card without disruption to your members. This article explains the bulk migration process from Stripe to ClubRight Pay Card.
Note: when you activate ClubRight Pay Card, it becomes your default payment method for new card transactions automatically. However, existing recurring card payments will continue to be processed by Stripe until either the member updates their card details or you complete the bulk migration covered below.
How the migration works
The migration is a multi-step process involving you, Stripe, ClubRight, and our payment partner UNIPaaS. The full process typically takes 10 to 15 working days from start to finish, depending on how quickly each party responds. Once complete, all future recurring card payments are processed through ClubRight Pay Card automatically, with no notification or action required from your members.
Step 1: Activate ClubRight Pay Card
If you have not already done so, set up and verify your ClubRight Pay Card account. See Setting up ClubRight Pay Card for the full setup process.
Step 2: Submit your migration request to Stripe
Log into your Stripe dashboard and submit a data migration request using Stripe's data migration support form.
You will be asked a series of questions. The answers to provide are:
What do you need help with? Data Migrations
Is this the correct account for this data migration request? Yes
What type of data migration can we assist you with? Export data from Stripe to a 3rd party
Which processor would you like to export data to? UNIPaaS Financial Services Ltd
What payment types would you like to export? Cards
Which file format would you prefer for your export? CSV
Would you like to export the full set of customers from your account, or only a partial subset? Full
Is there any other information you want us to know? clubrightpay@unipaas.com
Click Send email to submit your request.
Step 3: Confirm the migration request via email
Around 24 hours after submitting the form, Stripe will email you asking to confirm your decision to migrate. Reply with the word Confirm to that email.
Note: if you have not received an email within 24 hours, check your spam or junk folder.
Step 4: Provide security credentials to Stripe
Once you confirm, Stripe will email you again requesting security credentials. Reply with both of the following:
AoC (Attestation of Compliance): https://clubright.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Unipass_PCI-DSS-v4-0-ROC-AOC-Service-Providers-r2.pdf
Step 5: Wait for Stripe to process the migration
Stripe will then process the migration. This typically takes up to 10 working days.
Step 6: Forward the completion email to ClubRight
Once Stripe has finished, you will receive a confirmation email from them. Forward this email to help@clubright.co.uk so we can pick up the migration on our side.
Step 7: UNIPaaS completes the migration
We will then pass the data to UNIPaaS, who will complete the migration within 3 working days. Your member records will be updated automatically so that all future recurring card payments are processed via ClubRight Pay Card instead of Stripe. No action is required from your members.
