Browser Check-In lets members check in by entering a PIN on any tablet or computer, with no extra hardware needed. It is a simple way to record attendance without staff having to check everyone in at the front desk.
What Browser Check-In does
Each time a member enters their PIN, ClubRight will:
Check that they are active and paid up to date
Record their attendance at the club
Check them in to any activity they are booked on, from up to 30 minutes before it starts
Greet them with a welcome message
Flag if there is an issue with their membership that needs attention
How to set it up
Go to Settings > Your Club > Apps & Widgets.
Find Browser Check-In and click Open.
This opens the check-in screen. Use it on the tablet or touchscreen computer you want members to check in on, for example a device on a stand near your entrance.
Turn the device on at the start of the day and members can check themselves in as they arrive.
What is the web address for Browser Check-In?
Each club has its own Browser Check-In web link, the PIN pad where members enter their code (their PIN). It starts with https://api.clubright.co.uk/Terminal/ClubScreen/ and ends with your club's own code and ?keypad=y. To get yours:
Go to Settings > Your Club > Apps & Widgets.
Under Tools for your front desk, find Browser Check-In and click Open.
The check-in screen opens in a new tab. Copy the address from your browser's address bar, or bookmark it on the check-in device.
The link opens on any device without logging in to ClubRight. It's meant for a tablet or computer your club owns, not for members' own phones.
⚠️ Note: Don't share the link with members. Anyone using it can check in any member by typing a membership number. Members checking in on their own phone should use the QR code in the member app.
Is Activity Browser Check-In the same thing?
No. Activity Browser Check-In, just below it on the same page, is for checking members in to classes and sessions. Its address is https://app.clubright.co.uk/BrowserCheckIn?kiosk=true, and it only works on a device where a member of staff is logged in to ClubRight.
The member's PIN
A member's PIN is their membership number. You can see this on their profile, and you can change it if you want to give them something more memorable: open the member's profile, click the edit (pencil) icon, and change the Membership No. field, then click Save Changes.
💡 Note: Members can also find their membership number in their member account and in the member app, so they have it to hand when they check in.
What hardware do I need?
Browser Check-In runs in a web browser, so it works on a standard tablet or touchscreen computer. No special hardware is required. A tablet on a stand near your entrance works well. If you would like help choosing a device, contact the Customer Success team using the chat button in your application.
