In ClubRight, a linked profile is usually one of three things, and each is separated differently. A person on a shared membership: remove them from the lead member's membership and they keep their own profile. A child on a parent's account: give the child their own email address on their profile, and they're no longer linked to the parent. Two profiles that share one email address: these show as Linked profiles on each other's profile because they use the same email. If they belong to the same person, it's a duplicate: keep the profile with the membership and delete the other (see Can I merge two member profiles?). If they belong to different people, change the email on one of them.
What does "Linked profiles" mean on a member's profile?
The Linked profiles strip on a member's profile shows other profiles that share the same email address. Click a name to open that profile.
Profiles are linked by email only. If you change the email on one profile so it no longer matches, the link is removed straight away and the strip no longer shows on either profile.
People on the same shared membership are shown on the membership tile itself, not under Linked profiles.
How do I remove someone from a shared membership?
Open the lead member's profile (the person who pays).
Click Manage & view details on the membership tile.
Scroll down to Members on this plan.
Click Remove next to the member, then click Yes, remove to confirm.
The person you remove keeps their own profile, including their visit history, notes and messages. The shared membership no longer shows on their profile (it stays on the lead member's profile), so they show as a Prospect with Ready to become a member. If they're staying on, click Start a membership on their profile to give them their own.
⚠️ Note: The lead member can't be removed from their own shared membership. If the two people also use the same email address, they'll still show as Linked profiles. Change the email on one of them to separate them fully.
How do I unlink a child from a parent's account?
When a parent adds a child from their Member App, the child's profile is given the parent's email address. That's what links them, and it's how the parent can switch to the child's profile to book and pay.
To unlink them, give the child their own email address:
Go to Contacts > All Members and open the child's profile.
Click the pencil icon (Edit profile).
Replace the email in Email with the child's own email address.
Click Save Changes.
The child's profile, membership, bookings and history stay as they are. The parent can no longer switch to the child's profile in the app.
How does the child log in after they're unlinked?
The child logs in with their new email address. They don't have a password for it yet, so they need to tap or click Forgot password on the login screen, enter their new email, and follow the link in the email to set one.
💡 Tip: If the child shouldn't log in themselves, keep them linked to the parent instead. Without an email address of their own, they can't log in or receive emails from your club.
A member has two separate profiles with the same email. What do I do?
If both profiles belong to the same person, one of them is a duplicate. This often shows up as a member who has paid on one profile but is checking in on the other one with no membership.
Profiles can't be merged, so:
Keep the profile that has the membership and the Direct Debit.
Cancel any memberships on the other profile.
Open the other profile, click the three dots (⋮) and select Delete member.
Once the duplicate is deleted, the member only has one profile to log in to and check in with. For the full details, including what happens to the payments, visits and history on the deleted profile, see Can I merge two member profiles?
⚠️ Note: Only Owners can delete a member.
If the two profiles belong to different people, for example a couple sharing one email, they aren't duplicates. Change the email on one of the profiles to separate them, using the steps in the section above.
